KHS Volunteer Program's Vision: To create compassionate communities supporting animal welfare through meaningful acts of volunteer service.
KHS Volunteer Program's Mission: As a part of the Kentucky Humane Society's commitment to being a champion for companion animals and facilitating opportunities for community investment in our organization, KHS welcomes volunteers in a variety of roles, including activities that directly support our paid employees, represent KHS in the community, and provide enrichment and interaction with our shelter animals.
KHS Volunteer Program's DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility) Commitment: Animal welfare is a cause that needs diverse hands, hearts, and minds from all walks of life, levels of experience, and backgrounds. The KHS Volunteer Program celebrates inclusivity, empowers improvement, and welcomes any and all compelled by compassion for animals. It is important that our program is open, progressive, and ever-evolving.
